Jim Zorn Keeps His Job

Washington Redskins' vice president of football operations Vinny Cerrato announced today that Jim Zorn will keep his job as head coach for the remainder of the season.

On the positive side, Washington no longer has to worry about the "Head Coach" distraction. The players and the team can focus now on the games and not worry about weather Zorn will survive another game. This might bring some new found fight to the floundering Skins.

Negatively, however, I'm predicting a long and trying season in DC. The problems they have run deeper than Jim Zorn, but he doesn't seem to be the guy to address or solve those issues. Campbell just isn't clicking this season and the inability to run the ball effectively doesn't help. The Defense can still prevent teams from scoring, somewhat, but the Skins can't seem to score any points offensively when they need to.

Jim Zorn has his job for the rest of the season, yes, but don't even think for a second that the Skins' management isn't keeping their eyes and ears open for next season's coaching possibilities...
